eBridge Software EDI Translator

August 18th, 2008

eBridge Software offers customers more freedom then any other solution, customers have the choice to use any translator they wish or also purchase our own Translator, this offers the benefit of getting support from one company covering the system.

Here is some information for customers to review.

eBridge Translator – The eBridge translator operates seamlessly as part of the Integration Solution to ensure EDI document compliancy, generate Functional Acknowledgements (FAs), reconcile outbound documents with FAs, and manage document storage.

The eBridge Translator comprises a host of features to ensure user-friendly operation and streamlined functionality:

Integrated Translator - The eBridge Translator functions as a feature set within the existing core eBridge application, thereby preventing the need to learn and maintain third-party software.

SQL Server Database - By utilizing Microsoft SQL Server TM, the Translator is sustained by a robust, secure, and high-storage database with reliable backup and restore functionality. Peace of mind is achieved as the threat of losing files due to corruption or accidental replacement is eliminated.

Client/Server - Multi-user workstations enable flexibility in the work environment, as translator functions no longer need to be performed on one machine

Security - Added protection of document files is provided not only at the database level with SQL Server, but also at the user level with the Translator.

e-Mail Notifications – With e-mail notifications to inform selected users of trading partner activity, it is no longer required to directly access the Translator to monitor such activity.

User-Defined Reports – Using Crystal Reports, the user is able to generate specific and customized reports involving any defined criteria.

Search Engine - Search capability with multiple available filters is able to generate specific and customized reports involving any defined criteria.
Document Archiving – Documents can be saved to an archive directory while still remaining instantly and easily accessible by the Translator.

What EDI Solution is right for your company ?

August 18th, 2008

Choosing the best EDI Solution can be a long evaluation process, if you are an IT Manager looking at multiple systems to select the best one where do you start? Not everyone is familar with the concept or have an IT staff to handle it. There are VAN based solutions, there are Web-Forms solutions and more.

eBridge offers 2 solutions for customers, I can help you choose the right one for your company that makes sense to how your business is being run today. The basic similarity between the 2 mentioned below is you get an Integrated EDI solution that works.

On-Demand – With eBridge Software you have the flexibility of choice. Customers with minimal EDI requirements may only need a simple system such as our ePortal solution. With ePortal customers can become EDI ready with as little as 1 Trading Partner and reap the rewards of an integrated solution. With the minimal needs of some small business, Sage Software users can exchange – Purchase Orders (850), Invoices (810), ASNs (856) and FAs(997).

On-Premise Solution – Covers multiple requirements and control communication fees while providing the flexibility to choose any VAN you wish or communicate via AS2, XML, FTP etc. With the On-Premise Solution customers can use any Translator from an existing EDI system while upgrading to the eBridge Solution or purchase our Translator software. Customers that purchase the ePortal solution can upgrade to a full On-Premise solution anytime the need requires.

Sage Software – 3rd Party EDI Solution

August 18th, 2008

Hi All,

Just a quick note for the different solutions eBridge offers concerning Sage Software Integrations and EDI.

Here are some quick notes on the 2 integrated solutions offered.

ePortal – Positioned for customers having to get set up with a basic EDI plan running as little as 1 trading partner. Cost for a trading partner is as little as $50 per month. This also is unlimited transactions and Kilo characters. This goes against any and many of the Web-VAN based solutions out there.

eBridge Software - On-Premise – The On-Premise solution is for the Small-Business to Enterprise level customers with several trading partners, the desire to control their own mapping (If needed), remain with current VAN solution or using XML and AS2 Software and not taking on VAN fees.

In addition to EDI, the same basic Bridge platform can be used to take in and send out XML related documents to customers Website solution. If you have orders coming in off the web, that data can be flipped into the ERP and then sent out as a sales order to a distributor via EDI.
