Just a quick note to those running eBridge solutions, we have now made our Knowledge Base available online for you to browse at your own pace. The Knowledge Base contains articles gathered and documented over the last several years with regards to our products. Search for articles on topics such as eBridge Core, eBridge Application Adapter, ASN Module, Day to Day processing, Mapping, Licenses and more. Once you have identified an article that may assist you with your issue - you are given the option to provide feedback on whether the article did infact help you.
Using the Knowledge Base is simple. First, from the main Support menu option select Knowledge Base. Second, select the Solution or alternatively type in your issue/question into the ‘Search for’ textbox. Click the ‘Find Solution’ button. You will be presented with various solutions depending on your question asked. Use the ‘Score’ (left most column) or ‘Most Commonly Used’ (from drop down) options to determine how relevant the solution is to your question. Once you have selected a solution from the list provided take a moment to select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ as to whether the solution provided was helpful in resolving the issue. This will help us determine if our answers provided are helping you.
Find the eBridge Knowledge Base under the main Support menu here:

Be sure to take advantage of this valuable online resource to accelerate the resolution time of any integration issue you or a co-worker may be experiencing.

The eBridge Software Trading Partner Series was developed to give our customers a place to go to determine what the common EDI requirements are for their trading partners. This week we are going to continue the series and take a look at one of the largest Canadian retailers, Canadian Tire. If you are interested in becoming a supplier or currently are a supplier of Canadian Tire you can expect that some if not all of the following EDI documents will be required:
EDI 810 Invoice
EDI 830 Planning Schedule
EDI 850 Purchase Order
EDI 856 Advance Ship Notice
EDI 860 Purchase Order Change
UCC-128 Label
I want to focus on one document that I do not believe we have covered in this series before and that is the EDI 860 – Purchase order change. The 860 is an inbound document in this case and it is a request by Canadian Tire to change the original purchase order that they sent to you. You have two options when handling the 860: to integrate it into the ERP (MS Dynamics GP, MAS 200, etc) or provide it as a print document. Off the bat you are going to think that you would like to integrate the 860 so that changes that are requested do not have to be hand keyed into the ERP but that is not necessarily the best idea. Having the 860 as a print document allows you to handle the changes on a case by case basis since you won’t know which part of the fulfillment cycle you will be in each time you receive one. For more information on the 860 or any other EDI document for Canadian Tire or another of your trading partner please feel free to contact us.
Next week we are going to focus on the EDI requirements for Shoppers Drug Mart, a large pharmacy chain based in Canada.

EDI - Our Customers Trading Partner Series

Hi Everyone,
Day 3 at Microsoft Convergence 2009 in New Orleans was a great success. eBridge would like to thank all those who stopped by our booth today including some of our partners like Synergy Business Solutions and our clients including Veridian Connections.
I have a must see for you at MS Convergence. In the Microsoft Pavilion (located in the middle of the Expo floor) you have to go by and play with the newest toy from Microsoft called Microsoft Surface. It has nothing to do with EDI or Integration but you have to check it out (after booth 125 of course). In case you are not at Convergence you can find more info on Microsoft Surface at http://www.microsoft.com/surface/
Tomorrow is the last day for the Expo so if you haven’t had a chance to yet, come by the eBridge Software Booth (#125) in an area we have come to call Little Canada. We have two other partners directly across from us who are both based out of Ontario, DocuFire (Toronto) and WatServ (Kitchener). So make sure you swing by and say hi eh!
Cheers,
Jay
