Good Morning Everyone,
This morning, as I browse back through our Blog and some posts from 2010, 2011 – I noticed a great article series written by our Mike Catalfamo on eCommerce Integration and the best practice process for integrating Sales Orders, Customer info, Inventory Quantities, and Shipping details (tracking #’s etc) to your accounting package. Here are the 4 parts of this series again:
- An Introduction to eCommerce and Accounting Package Integration
- Creating eCommerce Sales Orders
- Managing eCommerce Inventory
- Updating Sales Orders and Thoughts on Shipping Info (Tracking #’s etc)
Enjoy the read – Mike and I would both love to hear your feedback on the proposed best practice approaches.
Best,
Dave Malda.

Calling All MS Dynamics AX Developers!
Microsoft has just published a white paper in an effort to assist developers in avoiding best practice violations. This brief but informative document places best practice guidelines alongside accompanying examples for quick and easy reference. The paper touches on the following important areas:
- Formatting
- Naming
- Commenting Code
- XML Documentation
- Labels and Text
- Database
- Exceptions
The document is available in both .pdf and .xps formats, and can be downloaded here.
If you would like to discover the benefits that an eBridge intregration solution would provide for you as a Microsoft Dynamics AX user, I encourage you to take a look at our features and benefits page.
Also, feel free to post your MS Dynamics questions or development nightmares here – help may be just a comment away!

Upgrading to Windows 7 won’t be a problem for Microsoft Dynamics AX customers. Dynamics AX 4.0 and AX 2009 are compatible with Windows 7, as well as with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2. Even in the older versions of AX 4.0, Microsoft has made it possible for customers to move to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 while leaving their often highly customized installations of Dynamics AX in place. This means organizations won’t have to go through version upgrades of the application just to get onto the new operating system. The new versions of Dynamics GP, GP 10.0, are already compatible with Windows 7; there are no plans to make Dynamics GP versions 9.0 or earlier compatible with the new operating system.
