Q4 releases of GP 2013 and NAV 2013 will be enabled to run on Windows Azure
As has long been expected, the next generation of Dynamics ERPs will be enabled to run on Windows Azure, Microsoft’s cloud application platform.  At Convergence, Microsoft announced that Dynamics GP 2013 and Dynamics NAV 2013 will both be released in Q4 2012 and capable of running in Windows Azure. Microsoft Dynamics GP and SQL: Support Expiration Dates

July 29th, 2010

We just Microsoftreceived a tip from Accolade Publications detailing some important expiration dates for support from Microsoft for both MS Dynamics GP and SQL products. If you are using any of the products mentioned below, we recommend looking into an upgrade as soon as possible.

Important Dates for Microsoft Support Expiration

Microsoft only supports the most recent two versions of most of their software products.  This includes not only MS Dynamics GP but also tools like MS SQL. Here are some support expiration dates of interest.  If you are on any of these versions (or earlier) you should contact your partner and schedule updates.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is Almost Here!

March 17th, 2010

MSDynGP2010Banner

Formerly known as GP 11, the newly re-branded MS Dynamics GP 2010 is set to roll out this Spring with beta testing already in progress. The new version boasts a number of improvements and added functionality to the software package. We can’t list them all, but here are a few key things to look out for in GP 2010:

Navigation

  • Greater customization of GP homepage
  • Ability to add your own metrics
  • Addition of 12 roles-based dashboards

Functionality

  • Enhanced visibility of data with two-way drill-back into Excel and GP
  • Additional printing of any GP forms and reports to a Word document, such as sales orders
  • Added personalization of Dynamics GP Office templates

Work-flow

  • Emailing of groups of documents easily from within GP with a single button click (such as purchase orders)
  • New work-flow processes, including supplier and employee approvals

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled, as there will likely be many official updates and promotions from Microsoft as we approach launch. To see if there is a Microsoft-hosted launch event happening near you, visit the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Launch Site. Microsoft Dynamics AX Compatibility with Windows 7

October 27th, 2009

Upgrading to Windows 7 won’t be a problem for Microsoft Dynamics AX customers. Dynamics AX 4.0 and AX 2009 are compatible with Windows 7, as well as with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.  Even in the older versions of AX 4.0, Microsoft has made it possible for customers to move to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 while leaving their often highly customized installations of Dynamics AX in place.  This means organizations won’t have to go through version upgrades of the application just to get onto the new operating system.  The new versions of Dynamics GP, GP 10.0, are already compatible with Windows 7; there are no plans to make Dynamics GP versions 9.0 or earlier compatible with the new operating system.

eBridge Live from Microsoft Convergence 2009 Part 2

March 11th, 2009
Comments Off

Hi Everyone,

Day 3 at Microsoft Convergence 2009 in New Orleans was a great success. eBridge would like to thank all those who stopped by our booth today including some of our partners like Synergy Business Solutions and our clients including Veridian Connections.

I have a must see for you at MS Convergence. In the Microsoft Pavilion (located in the middle of the Expo floor) you have to go by and play with the newest toy from Microsoft called Microsoft Surface. It has nothing to do with EDI or Integration but you have to check it out (after booth 125 of course). In case you are not at Convergence you can find more info on Microsoft Surface at http://www.microsoft.com/surface/

Tomorrow is the last day for the Expo so if you haven’t had a chance to yet, come by the eBridge Software Booth (#125) in an area we have come to call Little Canada. We have two other partners directly across from us who are both based out of Ontario, DocuFire (Toronto) and WatServ (Kitchener). So make sure you swing by and say hi eh!

Cheers,
Jay
