The Truth About EDI
Wednesday, August 2, 2017Lindsay Hampson
Guest post by Marc Darmon
By now you likely already know what EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is. Essentially, EDI is an electronic exchange of standard business documents between two companies. Which means if you want to stock the shelves of Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, etc. you need to meet their strict EDI requirements for doing so.
The trouble is… EDI sucks. No one in their right mind wants to do it, but unfortunately, it’s a necessary evil in doing business with the “Big Box” stores. Even more frustrating is that every store seems to have their own unique requirements for compliance.

Never be penalized by Amazon for slow order processing: Connect your Amazon store and your NetSuite ERP, today.
Wednesday, July 5, 2017Lauren Macdonald
Every Amazon seller, regardless of whether they choose an Individual or Professional Selling Plan
, knows that there’s a list of Amazon seller criteria
they must oblige by in order to sell their products on Amazon.
Failure to meet the criteria could result in penalties for things like:
- Running out of inventory
- Processing orders too slowly
- Not meeting shipping deadline expectations
- Receiving negative feedback from customers
Too much of any of these things could even result in your Amazon seller account being revoked. Yikes!
Happy 150 Canada
Friday, June 30, 2017Lindsay Hampson
eBridge Connections’ headquarters is based in Canada. If you open a Google search for the word Canada, you will find pictures of snow and low-to-medium-grade groomed men wearing red uniforms, and big hats. Google images will call the white stuff snow, and it will call those guys Mounties. We call it precipitation, and we call them Greg and Andy.
This scene plays out frequently in cities and towns across our lovely country. But, Canada is about far more than that. Visit us and you’ll see.
How to choose a Sage-Magento integration solution
Wednesday, June 28, 2017Lindsay Hampson
The job of working out how best to link hybrid systems together is a common, but complicated, one. Often Operations Leaders, or IT Managers preparing or upgrading their Sage ERP are given the goal of Magento integration, with little timeframe, little guidance, and a lot of pressure from upper management. The reason behind the task is a good one – disparate systems must be connected in order to provide one version of the truth, and easy access to data – but it is a logistical nightmare.
So what are helpful hints when outlining a Sage-Magento integration project?
Could Amazon Prime Day 2017 actually be Amazon Prime Week 2017?
Monday, June 26, 2017Lauren Macdonald
Amazon Prime Day is an annual sales event by Amazon.com
that some say offers big enough deals to rival Black Friday.
The event first started in 2015, when the online retail giant marked two decades since the day it first opened, and the sale was so successful that Amazon decided to make it an annual affair.
The exact date for this year’s Prime Day hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s predicted that it will be sometime between July 10th
and July 16th
, with much speculation that it will fall on Tuesday July 11th, 2017
Unlike past years when it was a 24-hour event, this year Prime Day will run for 30 hours (from 6:00 PM to midnight PDT on the day before Prime Day, plus the 24 hours of Prime Day itself). Essentially, we’re talking about a day and a half of deals and discounts for Amazon Prime members.
Even more exciting, Amazon has also alluded to the possibility of a “Prime Day Week”
this year, which might mean they have plans to promote more than just a single day of deals.

Create a seamless customer experience by investing in your technology portfolio

Flipping through a magazine this morning by Internet Retailer
I came across an article by Salesforce
that caught my eye about online shoppers and how today, more than ever, they want to be connected and in control.
Shelley Bransten, senior vice president of industry solutions (retail) at Salesforce, says that shopper expectations are at an all-time high and every experience should be seamless, personalized, and convenient, but many retailers are struggling to do that.
eCommerce is booming in Boulder, Colorado, and the surrounding area, but which companies are leading the pack and why?
Wednesday, June 21, 2017Lauren Macdonald
Boulder, Colorado is known as one of the main ‘bicycling centers’ in the US. This means Boulder, and the surrounding Colorado areas, are home to numerous merchants who sell biking gear, equipment, accessories, and more, both online and in-stores.
But biking equipment isn’t the only driver of Colorado’s immense eCommerce industry. Technology companies and health/wellness companies are growing rapidly as well, and major companies like Gaiam
are leading the pack when it comes to putting Boulder, Colorado ‘on the map’ as a key eCommerce player.

How to win the 'Buy Box' on Amazon: Tips and Tricks
Thursday, June 8, 2017Lauren Macdonald
If you’re an Amazon seller with a Professional selling plan, you may have heard of a little thing called the ‘Buy Box’. For those of you that don’t already know, the Buy Box is the box on a product detail page where customers can begin the purchasing process by adding items to their shopping carts.
A key feature of Amazon is that multiple sellers can offer the same product. If more than one eligible seller offers a product, they may compete for the Buy Box for that product. Beneath the Buy Box are Additional Seller Listings of merchants that offer the same product but did not ‘win’ the Buy Box.

Top 5 Industries Seeking ERP Integration
Tuesday, May 30, 2017Lindsay Hampson
Brands that sell more than 200 gloves, shoes, necklaces, seeds, or fidget spinners every month are the most likely to prioritize a project that links together their disparate business systems.
Why? ERP to eCommerce integration saves brands time doing manual sales order data entry, of course. (Order data entry is just as horrible as it sounds)

Benefits of a SAP Enterprise Central Component (ECC) integration solution
Thursday, May 25, 2017Lauren Macdonald
SAP Enterprise Central Component (SAP ECC) is one of the most recognized products that SAP owns. Previously called SAP R/3, SAP ECC is an enterprise resource planning software (ERP) which consists in several modules that provide organizations who use it with superior control over their key business processes.
An SAP ECC integration solution
, like those offered by eBridge Connections, can eliminate the need for manual data entry by enabling bi-directional data transfer to and from your SAP ECC accounting/ERP package.
