Announcing the eBridge Sustainability Initiative

Tuesday, January 7, 2020Eric Zegarski

Here's What the eBridge Sustainability Initiative is All About!

The busy BFCM period was a record setting one for us here at eBridge this year. We processed over 5 million transactions for our customers. Without an integration solution from eBridge, those transactions would have had to have been processed manually. If our clients were to process these transactions manually, then they would’ve had to have had printed each one of them out. Printing them would’ve consumed over 5 million sheets of paper. If these sheets were stacked on top of each other, the stack would be as tall as the CN Tower!

That lead us to pause, reflect, and think as to how many trees would’ve been harvested to produce 5 million sheets of paper.

We decided to look for answers on everyone’s favorite know-it-all platform: Google. According to ConservaTree, 1 tree equals 8,333 sheets of paper. With some simple division, we can estimate that approximately 600 trees would’ve been consumed. With companies like Starbucks and A&W taking on sustainable green initiatives, we at eBridge want to join in. We believe that every company can take a stand. Team eBridge wants to help make our planet more sustainable.

We are excited to announce that starting January 2020, we’ll be rolling out the eBridge Sustainability Initiative. eBridge Connections will donate a tree to #TeamTrees for every single integration workflow that we sell to a client. We’re proud that our technology is helping eliminate reliance on paper and even more excited to be taking this next step and helping our planet flourish for generations to come.
