Your privacy is important to Jitterbit. We are committed to respecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines our information practices and the options you have for the way your personal information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed. This statement applies to information processed by Jitterbit, Inc and its subsidiaries (“Jitterbit”, “we” or “us”) in order to provide Jitterbit products, services, and related support, as well as information collected for marketing purposes.

Personal Data

Jitterbit requires certain personal data in order to provide you with information on our products and services. For example, if you:

  • request information via the contact page on our website: jitterbit.com and www.ebridgeconnections.com.
  • submit comments or questions via the contact page on our website; or
  • sign up for use of our products or services.

 

In these instances, we often collect information such as name, physical address, telephone number, and e-mail address. If you do not provide your personal data, Jitterbit will not be able to provide you with the information you requested, cannot react to your comments or questions, and cannot serve you as a client.

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

Information which may not be personal data that is processed by your use of Jitterbit Harmony Cloud includes information about:

  • Project and usage metadata
  • Operations log data
  • Jitterbit user information
  • Transient Client data that is passed through

 

Marketing

Information that is used on our websites requires your opt-in consent or registration. This information may include:

  • Device, browser, and type
  • Location
  • Cookies

 

Purpose and legal basis for use of the data

Jitterbit needs access to certain information in order to provide you with Jitterbit products and services as described below. Jitterbit uses the information to provide, update, maintain, and protect our services, tools, websites and business; to comply as required by law, legal process, or regulation; to communicate with you in responding to your requests, comments, and questions; to develop and provide search, learning, and productivity tools and additional features; to send emails and other communications; for billing, account management, and other administrative matters; and to investigate and help prevent security issues and abuses.

Use of Jitterbit Products and Services

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

Jitterbit needs your personal information in order to create a user ID and authentication credentials to enable your entitlement to and use of the Jitterbit products and services, and to enable Jitterbit to process information in accordance with the subscription agreement for the Jitterbit services, and in order to keep you informed about the Jitterbit products and services.

Marketing

If you opt-in and request information using submitted comments or questions via our website or sign up for use of our products and services, Jitterbit will provide you with information about Jitterbit products and services, will enable you to receive our newsletter, request informational materials, participate in surveys or evaluations, enter promotions or contests, or will enable you to submit comments or questions about Jitterbit and its tools and services.

As part of the opt-in, this information may be shared with Jitterbit service providers in order to enable us to provide marketing communications and enable Jitterbit to improve the user experience for customers and prospects. If you no longer want to receive such information, you may opt-out of receiving communications from Jitterbit.

Legal disclosures

Jitterbit may be required to disclose personal information to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities, to comply with a legal process such as a court or administrative order, national security letter, subpoena, search warrant, or a national security or law enforcement request. Jitterbit may also be required to disclose personal information if Jitterbit merges with or is acquired by a third party.

Receivers of personal data

Jitterbit has relationships with third parties to assist us in providing products and services to our customers. These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to Jitterbit, and are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality of the information that Jitterbit provides.

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

Jitterbit uses service providers who have signed agreements with Jitterbit in order to assist Jitterbit in providing the Jitterbit products and services. Jitterbit requires these service providers to have strong access controls, encryption key management, and other safeguards so that third parties only have appropriate access to achieve the intended business function.

Marketing

Jitterbit uses service providers who have signed agreements with Jitterbit for the primary purpose of providing targeted marketing communications and improving the user experience for our customers and prospects.

Data from sources other than a Data Subject

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

The only information collected at contract signing and/or login time is provided by the Jitterbit Customer (data subject). For prospects who are evaluating tools, the only data collected at login time is provided by the prospective customer (data subject).

Marketing

Jitterbit’s Marketing departments may use information sources in addition to information provided by data subjects. This information is only shared with our service providers involved in supporting Jitterbit analytics and providing an improved user experience of the Jitterbit web and marketing properties. These additional information sources are:

  • Data vendors in order to augment and match personal identifiable information (PII); and
  • Lists from partner tradeshows and events.

 

Website Analytics

Jitterbit may use cookies and other website analytics, data collection, and privacy tool technologies on the Jitterbit site. Some cookies may be set by third party service providers that Jitterbit uses to assist with providing website analytics and similar services. Jitterbit may use these technologies to: personalize and provide a more convenient browsing experience to you, including assisting in your navigation of the Jitterbit website and technical solutions; measure advertising and promotional effectiveness; analyze which pages on the Jitterbit website you visit, and which features you are using in Jitterbit Harmony Cloud; provide certain features on the Jitterbit site such as social media sharing widgets; and provide content from Jitterbit`s third party content providers.

Jitterbit uses a privacy tool to monitor opt-out choices for European Union (EU) users which are following an opt-out protocol. In that case, the opt-out tool signals to other companies not to use your browsing behavior when providing interest-based advertising, by setting their opt-out cookie in your browser. It’s important to know that if you decide to clear your browser’s cookies, this will remove the opt-out cookies set by these companies. You may need to re-access the opt-out tool to reset your preferences.

Jitterbit works with service providers which may track your activities on the Jitterbit web site to improve Jitterbit`s marketing efforts and provide you with advertising based on your visit. If you do not want to have your information collected and used for remarketing purposes, you can opt-out.

How we retain information

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud

Transactional Information: Information that is processed by Harmony Cloud customers is stored for the minimum time necessary to process the information. System logging information is only kept for a set duration for troubleshooting. Jitterbit Harmony Cloud Non-transactional Information: Information as it relates to Harmony Cloud customer projects is considered non-transactional data and can be stopped, started, and purged at customers’ discretion. eiCloud Transactional Information: Customers can control storage periods and/or deletion of stored data within eiCloud during the term of their subscription. Upon expiration or termination of the subscription period, the data may be deleted by eBridge eiCloud Non-transactional Information: Information as it relates to eiCloud customer projects is considered non-transactional data and is stored for a finite period for assistance with troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, typically 3 months. Customers can request non-transactional data to be stopped, started, and purged.

Marketing

Information collected is used for marketing purposes until a customer or prospect opts-out.

Security Safeguards

Jitterbit is committed to the security of its systems and privacy of its customers' data. Jitterbit is vigilant in protection of the information you provide from its loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. Jitterbit and its hosting services infrastructure partner have received internationally recognized certifications and attestations for SOC1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and other security standards. Age Restrictions

Jitterbit does not permit the use of Jitterbit Harmony services, Jitterbit tools, or websites by anyone younger than 16 years of age to the extent prohibited by applicable law. If you are aware of anyone under 16 that has provided us with personal data, please contact us at dpo@jitterbit.com; Jitterbit will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

Extraterritorial Boundaries and Contractual Terms

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

Jitterbit customers are controllers of their data and can use Jitterbit to direct the movement of their data via their projects. Customer metadata—such as projects, project information, operations, and operation status—can reside in the region of their initial choosing, in US, EMEA or APAC.

Marketing

All data collected by Jitterbit for use in Marketing is housed with major Customer Relations Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation service providers with whom Jitterbit has a contract and which provide redundancy in data centers in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of a European Union (EU) member state or the UK and if your personal information is being processed by one of our customers, our customer has become a “GDPR Controller.” In accordance with the GDPR, or the UK GDPR you are a “GDPR Data Subject” and have the rights listed below. You will need to communicate with the Controller in order to exercise these rights; Jitterbit does not make decisions about the data that is processed in our tools.

If you are a resident of an EU member state or the UK and have a user identification and password to use Jitterbit`s Harmony cloud, or you have opted into our marketing communications, you are a “GDPR Data Subject” and as such have certain rights that Jitterbit will honor directly. The following section details your rights and how Jitterbit and the Jitterbit Data Protection Officer (Jitterbit DPO) will address them.

Access

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

As a trial or paid customer, you have access to the Jitterbit Harmony self-service web console to manage, deploy, and delete projects and operations. As an organizational administrator, you have additional privileges to manage user access in your organization. If you want an electronic copy of your data, send an email to the Jitterbit DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com with your request. We will respond promptly with the options available to you.

Marketing

Jitterbit does not restrict customers or prospects from accessing their personal data submitted through the www.jitterbit.com website. Customers or prospects can edit their personal information or change their privacy settings at any time either through the Jitterbit Preference Center or by emailing a request to the Jitterbit DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com.

Rectification

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud

Personal information on the profile page (including username/email) is self-service. User management for organizations is performed by the organizational administrator.

If you feel that personal information we have about you in Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to amend (via self-service options) or to work with your company’s Jitterbit administrator to amend your personal information.

eiCloud

If you feel that personal information we have about you in eiCloud is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to amend your personal information. Your request for an amendment must be in writing, signed, and dated. It must specify the records you wish to amend, identify the global region, software, or tool that maintains those records, and give the reason for your request. You must address your request to the Jitterbit DPO from the region that maintains the records you wish to amend or to this address: Jitterbit, Inc., Attn: Data Protection Officer, 1301 Marina Village Parkway, Suite 201 Alameda, CA United States 94501. We will respond to you within 30 days. We may deny your request; if we do, we will tell you why and explain your options.

Marketing

Customers and prospects may request a change to incorrect or incomplete information by contacting Jitterbit’s DPO at Jitterbit, Inc., Attn: Data Protection Officer, 1301 Marina Village Parkway, Suite 201 Alameda, CA United States 94501, or by email at dpo@jitterbit.com.

Erasure

These types of requests should go through email to the Jitterbit DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com and collaborated on a case-by-case basis.

Restriction of Processing

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

Only changes to user login and email are restricted in the self-service console. Those changes can be made by creating a case with Jitterbit tech support at support@jitterbit.com.

Marketing

Basic changes to mailing list choices and edits to personal information can be made via the Jitterbit Subscription Center. For more advanced modifications or if you cannot access the Jitterbit Subscription Center, you will need to request restrictions to processing of your information by contacting the Jitterbit DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com with any change requests.

Revoke the permission provided (a.k.a Opt Out or change)

Jitterbit Harmony Cloud/eiCloud

This is limited in Jitterbit Harmony/eiCloud but can be done by sending an email request to Jitterbit`s DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com.

Marketing

You may opt out of marketing communications by editing your preferences in the Jitterbit Subscription Center or by contacting Jitterbit at marketing@jitterbit.com.

File a complaint with a Supervisory Authority

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated by Jitterbit, you may file a complaint with the Jitterbit DPO or with the Supervisory Authority (SA) from your EU member state. To file a complaint with Jitterbit, you must submit your complaint in writing. You’ll find the contact details of our DPOs below. You will not be penalized for filing a complaint.

Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a “Consumer,” resident of California, and your personal information (PI) is being processed by one of our customers a “Service Provider,” or by Jitterbit directly in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), other than certain exceptions by regulation, you have the rights listed below. You will need to communicate with the Jitterbit DPO in order to exercise these rights; Jitterbit does not make decisions about the data that is processed in our tools.

The following section details your rights and how Jitterbit and the Jitterbit Data Protection Officer (Jitterbit DPO) will address them. In compliance with the CCPA Privacy Notice and Information Right, Jitterbit will inform consumers about:

  • Personal information categories collected: Jitterbit may collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”). In particular, we may have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months based on marketing activities or acting in our role as a processor for Jitterbit Customers and partners:
    • Category A – Identifiers Examples: Name, postal address, Internet Protocol address, email address, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers.
    • Category B – Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) Examples: Name, signature, Social Security number, address, telephone number, fax number, passport number, driver’s license or state identification card number, insurance policy number, education, employment, bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, or any other financial information, physical illness, mental illness or disabilities.
    • Category C – Protected classification characteristics under California or federal law Examples: Age, ethnicity, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, physical illness, mental illness or disabilities, gender, veteran status.
    • Category D – Commercial information Examples: Records of personal property.
    • Category F – Internet or other similar network activity Examples: Access history and information on your interaction with our application.
    • Category I – Professional or employment-related information Examples: Occupation, employer information.
    • Category J – Non-public education information (per the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1232g, 34 C.F.R. Part 99)) Examples: Education level, school attended.

 

We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:

  • Directly from a Jitterbit customer. For example, from information Jitterbit customers provide to us related to the Services for which they engage us. Jitterbit would only store name, email address in order to authenticate users of our services. Thus, If we have your information from a customer, that is all Jitterbit would have.
  • Directly from you. For example, through information we ask from you when our Customers or their agents subscribe and engage our Services.
  • Directly and indirectly from you when using our Services or visiting our website. For example, usage details collected automatically in the course of your interaction with the Jitterbit platform or your use of the Jitterbit website.

 

Use of Personal Information

Jitterbit may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the business purposes listed above in this privacy notice.

Sharing Personal Information

Jitterbit may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract. Jitterbit’s purposes are described above elsewhere in this Privacy Notice.

Your Rights under the CCPA

To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by email at dpo@jitterbit.com.

Opt-out Right for Personal Information Sales

While consumers have the right to request to opt-out of the sale of PI to third parties, and Jitterbit would comply with this right, it is imperative to note that Jitterbit does not sell any PI to any third parties. Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. You must provide Jitterbit with enough information to enable us to verify who you are, that you have the right to make this request, and with sufficient further detail that allows Jitterbit to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to the request.

Right of Disclosure or Access

You have a right to request disclosure of your PI and to receive additional details regarding the PI Jitterbit collects and its use purposes, including any third parties with which Jitterbit shares information. Note: Jitterbit does not provide PI to third parties if we received it from any of our Customers.

Right of Data Portability

In response to a request for disclosure, Jitterbit will provide you with your personal information in a readily usable format to enable you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.

Right to Deletion / Erasure (The Right to be Forgotten)

You have the right to request deletion of your PI Jitterbit has collected.

Non-Discrimination

Jitterbit will not discriminate against a consumer because they exercise their rights.

Responding to Rights Requests

Jitterbit will:

  • Comply with a verifiable consumer request.
  • Respond within 45 days after receipt, potentially extendable once for another 45 or 90 days on consumer notification. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with Jitterbit, we will deliver our written response to the registered email associated with the account. If you do not have an account with Jitterbit, we will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option.
  • Inform the consumer of the reasons for not taking action. If Jitterbit is unable to take action on a request we will explain why in our response to you.
  • Provide the information free of charge, unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
  • Consumers may only make most information requests twice a year and only for a twelve-month look-back.
  • There are no limits on deletion and do not sell requests.

 

Privacy Policy Changes

Jitterbit may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect regulatory changes and changes to our business. Changes will be posted here with email notification to our users. If you disagree with our changes, you’ll retain the right to opt-out or request deactivation of your account by sending an email to the Jitterbit DPO at dpo@jitterbit.com.
